Delete Your Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Jombone account, what data is removed, what data is retained, and how long the process takes. No login is required to submit a deletion request.


Who This Page Is For

This page applies to individual users of the Jombone platform and mobile app, including:

  • Candidates — individuals who have applied for jobs or been onboarded through a staffing agency using Jombone
  • Workers — active or former workers whose timesheets, shifts, and payroll are managed through the platform
  • Individual portal users — anyone who created a personal account on the Jombone candidate or worker portal
Staffing agency and business accounts: If you are a staffing agency or business customer looking to close your company account, please contact your Jombone account manager directly or email [email protected]. Business account closure is governed by your signed Order Form and Master Services Agreement.

How to Request Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and personal data using any of the following methods:

Delete from the app (fastest) Open the Jombone app → tap Profile → tap Settings → tap Delete My Account. Follow the on-screen confirmation steps. Your request will be processed within 30 days.

Email request Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”. Include your full name, the email address associated with your account, and your phone number if registered. We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and process your request within 30 days.

Written request (Canada) Canadian users may also submit a written request by mail to: Jombone Inc., Privacy Officer, 2233 Argentia Road, Suite 302A, East Tower, Mississauga, ON L5N 2X7, Canada. We will respond within 30 days as required under PIPEDA.
Before you request deletion: If you are currently on an active assignment or work engagement through a staffing agency, deleting your account may affect your ability to receive shift notifications, view pay stubs, and submit timesheets. We recommend completing your current assignment or contacting your staffing agency before proceeding.

What Happens to Your Data

The table below explains what data is deleted, what is retained, and for how long, when your account deletion request is processed.

Important Note: Staffing Agency Data

Jombone provides technology to staffing agencies. When you were registered on the platform, your data was entered by or on behalf of a staffing agency (your employer or recruiter). This means:

  • The staffing agency is the primary data controller for employment-related records such as your work history, timesheets, and payroll. Deleting your Jombone account does not automatically delete these records from the staffing agency’s systems.
  • To request deletion of records held directly by your staffing agency, you must contact them separately.
  • Jombone will delete or anonymise all data that is within our direct control within 30 days of a verified deletion request.
PIPEDA (Canada) & CCPA (California) rights: Canadian users have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of their personal information under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). California users have similar rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days (Canada) or 45 days (California).

Processing Timeline

  • Confirmation: We will confirm receipt of your request within 2 business days
  • Identity verification: We may ask you to verify your identity before processing (e.g., confirm the email on the account)
  • Deletion completed: All deletable data is removed within 30 days of a verified request
  • Confirmation of completion: We will send you an email confirming deletion is complete
