About Nikhil Verma
I joined Jombone in 2019, when the team was small enough to fit around one table. Since then, I have watched the company grow from an early ideation stage into a full operations platform for staffing, and as Product Manager I have had a hand in shaping how people experience it along the way.
I bring over 10 years of experience ideating, designing and managing digital products, including time at one of the largest IT multinational companies in the world. What I care about most is the customer journey and taking friction out of it. My work usually sits at the intersection of three things that do not always agree: what creates value for the customer, what the business needs to prioritize, and what is realistically feasible to build. Finding the balance between those is the part of the job I enjoy most.
Outside of work I am happiest outdoors. I spend time on trails, in the woods, camping and trekking whenever I get the chance. I am also a sports person and will happily try anything new, though soccer and tennis are my favourites. Cricket, padel, pickleball, badminton, table tennis, pool and snooker all get played too. And I love long road trips.
Fun Facts
Why did you join the Jombone team?
I joined when there were just two team members. The chance to help build something from that stage, and to keep building it as it scaled, was too good to pass up.
What skills do I bring to work every day?
Curiosity and structure. I ask a lot of questions about why something works the way it does, then organize the answers into something people can actually use.
What is the longest road trip you have taken?
Ontario, Canada to Texas, US. Approximately 2,500 km, done in two days.
Where would you go if you could travel anywhere for a month?
Australia and New Zealand. I like mountains and beaches equally, and that trip would give me both.
What is your favorite way to spend a weekend or day off from work?
On a trail, or on a court with whoever is up for a game.
What are three positive words that people often use to describe you?
Curious, Organized, and Dependable.
